What's Included in the Kit:
-
XM2 Attachment Plate: Securely mounts the lens in front of your projector.

Step-by-Step Installation Process:
Step 1: Install the XM2 Attachment Plate
-
Mount the XM2 Plate between your projector and ceiling mount, or directly onto compatible projector models.
- For Epson Projectors, use the included spacers to ensure proper positioning.
- For Sony and JVC Projectors, attach the plate securely and adjust screw lengths as needed.
Step 2: Prepare Your Projector for Lens Installation
- Align your projector with the screen, minimizing horizontal lens shift.
- Use an actual 2.4:1 movie to set up the projector, as test patterns may not represent true aspect ratios.
- Adjust the projector zoom and vertical lens shift to ensure the movie fills the screen properly.
Step 3: Install the CDR Lens
- Attach the Lens Bracket to the projector using the appropriate screws and spacers.
- Secure the Lens Bracket to the XM2 Plate using thumb knobs and adjust the Lens Tilt and Vertical Lens Shift for perfect image alignment.
Additional Tips:
-
Inverting the Lens Bracket: If mounting on a shelf, invert the bracket to allow additional tilt.
-
Electronic Distortion Correction: Use built-in projector features to correct edge distortion at lower throw ratios.
-
Convergence Correction: Correct any color fringing through your projector’s convergence settings.
Cleaning & Maintenance
-
Blow off dust from the lens regularly to maintain performance.
- If there’s buildup, use professional lens cleaning supplies for gentle cleaning while the projector is on.
